Journaling is a practice that I often recommend for brainstorming, exploring your thoughts, and as an alternative or supplement to speaking for various mindset practices, including affirmations and gratitudes. The product that I currently favor for journaling is a simple and affordable spiral-bound notebook that's available on Amazon: https://a.co/d/2jgUUZy .
Lately I've been favoring a simple meditation that requires nothing but a quiet place to sit, but I used the Headspace app for several years and think it's great for beginners. It provides guided meditations, tranings, and allows you to set the amount of time to whatever you prefer (1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, etc.): https://www.headspace.com/.
