Helps women lawyers and law leaders who are successful but unfulfilled find peace of mind and navigate more effectively in law, business, and life in general through individual coaching, group mentoring programs, speaking engagements, and custom training programs for law firms and other service-based organizations. Provided accountability coaching to select clients of The Pace Law Firm, P.C., to help them do their part in helping the legal team get the best possible results. 


  • Owner & Chief Legal Strategist,  The Pace Law Firm, P.C. (2006 – 2024). Achieved a 97% dismissal rate over a six-year period as a solo criminal defense attorney. Became a trailblazer and employed an innovative, team-based approach and unusually rigorous written discovery practices in criminal litigation to get the best possible results under the facts and circumstances of each case. Built and directed a team of badass attorneys and other professionals that defended good people charged with domestic assault in Austin, Texas, and surrounding areas.


  • Associate Attorney, Foster Malish Blair & Cowan, LLP; Ellington & Associates, PC (2004 – 2006). Engaged in commercial litigation, with practice areas including telecommunications, toxic torts, premises liability, construction defect and accident claims, damage to underground utilities, and contract disputes. Experience included legislation compliance tracking, multi-district litigation, motions practice, written discovery, depositions, and mediation. 


  • Assistant District Attorney, Polk County Criminal District Attorney (2003 – 2004). Prosecuted criminal offenses and related civil proceedings such as protective orders, parental rights termination, and asset seizure and forfeiture. Experience included case evaluation and preparation, civil discovery, negotiation, contested hearings, jury trials, bench trials, and appeals. 

 

  • Attorney, The Law Office of Kiele Linroth Pace; The Law Office of Terrell L. Pace; (2002 – 2003). Represented individuals in civil and criminal matters; assisted veteran civil litigation attorney with his full-service practice; and provided pro bono representation through the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program. Experience included case evaluation, pretrial litigation, negotiation, and civil hearings.

 

  • Attorney Editor, Jones McClure Publishing, Inc. (2001 – 2002). Ensured the accuracy and quality of material prepared for O'Connor's Federal Rules 2002. Experience included substantial legal research and writing on the subject of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
